Welcome to the magic!
Just a short sailing from the South Coast of England, the Isle of Wight is a truly beautiful and inspiring haven for sun-seekers, thrill-seekers and families alike.
This most magical of islands enjoys more sunshine hours than any other UK resort. With 147 square miles of stunning beaches, gorgeous natural landscapes, picture perfect villages, and miles and miles of clear blue ocean to play in, you’ll soon unearth its magic.
Why the Isle of Wight is the place for you:
The Isle of Wight is a popular holiday destination year after year. It's ideal for people of all ages and there are various different attractions on offer whether you're a toddler or in retirement. Here is just a small list of the things on offer and the places you should try to visit on your stay.
Birdwatching & Wildlife
Thanks to its wide variety of habitats, the Isle of Wight is teeming with wildlife – trust us, there’s much more here than just the famous red squirrel. More than 200 species of bird call the island home, residing in the saltwater marshes, on the cliffs by the coast and within the woods.
If you are feeling particularly active and also want to take in the beautiful coastline, go for one of the coastal walks. There are plenty to choose from so it all depends on how far you want to walk and the places you'd be interested to see. If you'd rather explore more of the heart of the island, there are several walking trails that are further inland.
If you're heading to the Isle of Wight for your holiday, you'll find that you're spoilt for choice when it comes to having things to do. As the island is relatively small, you can find that travelling by bike is the best option. You'll get the chance to really explore and see all the sites, rather than being confined to a car or bus. Plus the fact, you'll be getting some exercise as well, which is never a bad thing...
